Our Lady Of Guadalupe Promises To Heal All Sorrows, Hardships, And Sufferings. I am truly your merciful Mother, yours and all the people who live united in this land and of all the other people of different ancestries, my lovers, who love me, those who seek me, those who trust in me.
People attribute miracles to the Virgin related to solving health problems, employment and finding a partner.
Knowledge:
This Mary is the woman of the land. She is sister to the poor and the mother of compassion and healing for all those who live on the edges of life, walking the roads on the outskirts of the cities, living in slums, favelas, tenements, and the neighborhoods [where] no one ever wants to get caught having to raise their children. . . . She is barefoot upon the earth; her presence causes roses to bloom in December and the birds to sing wildly and the land to bring forth its seed and bread for those desperate for daily sustenance (still more than 85 percent of the earth) and freedom. She can be a spider, as in the Native American tradition, who follows a trail home bringing light to the people, silent, unnoticed, so small and so able to steal the light from those who will not share it with others. She is the symbol of the small earth, inconsequential except to God, found with all those who live faithfully in situations of darkness, despair, lack and need, yet powerful in their very weakness and numbers.

About:
Her feast day, Dec. 12
The Image of Our Lady is actually an Aztec Pictograph which was read and understood quickly by the Aztec Indians.
- THE LADY STOOD IN FRONT OF THE SUN – She was greater than their dreaded sun-god “Huitzilopochtli”.
- HER FOOT RESTED ON THE CRESCENT MOON – She had clearly vanquished their foremost deity, the feather serpent “Quetzalcoatl”.
- THE STARS STREWN ACROSS THE MANTLE – She was greater than the stars of heaven which they worshipped. She was a virgin and the Queen of the heavens for Virgo rests over her womb and the northern crown upon her head. She appeared on December 12, 1531, for the stars that she wore are the constellation of stars that appeared in the sky that day!
- THE BLUEâGREEN HUE OF HER MANTLE – She was a Queen for she wears the color of royalty.
- THE BLACK CROSS ON THE BROOCH AT HER NECK – Her God was that of the Spanish Missionaries, Jesus Christ her son.
- THE BLACK BELT – She was with child for she wore the Aztec Maternity Belt.
- THE FOUR-PETAL FLOWER OVER THE WOMB – She was the “Mother of God.” The flower was a special symbol of life, movement and deity – the center of the universe.
- HER HANDS ARE JOINED IN PRAYER – She was not God but clearly there was one greater than Her and she pointed her finger to the cross on her brooch.
- THE DESIGN ON HER ROSE-COLORED GARMENT – She is the “Queen of the Earth,” for she is wearing a map of Mexico telling the Indians exactly where the apparition took place.
More:
- In Catholicism, Oshun Olodí is syncretized with the Virgin of Guadalupe, since both are said to be warrior deities and defenders of just causes.
- Oshun Ololodí or Olodí is one of the 38 paths of this deity.
- Ololodí is the wife of Orunmila, a Yoruba deity whose name means “revolutionary”. It is said that she is not to be taken lightly, for her anger is famous and can never be destroyed by her enemies.
